Karina Hertz is a Senior Director of Strategic Communications at AARP, the nation’s largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization with nearly 38 million members. In her role, Hertz oversees the organization’s consumer-facing campaigns around AARP’s workforce offerings and programming. She is also the communications lead for consumer efforts for the veteran/military audiences.
Jan Tuckwood is an award-winning journalist who was associate editor and revenue content director of The Palm Beach Post for 30 years. She’s also a former fashion editor of The Denver Post, and her work has appeared in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post and Glamour magazine, among other publications. She is the editor of five books, including the official history book of Palm Beach County, and she is the co-author of Too Young to Be Old, the 2022 memoir of Diane Gilman, HSN’s “Jean Queen.”
Lesle Hunter-Gadsden is a journalist, educator and podcaster who has written for print and online publications. She has covered business, education, performing arts, diversity, equity and inclusion and other topics for media outlets including Next Avenue, Black Enterprise magazine and Sisters from AARP newsletter.
Karen Stabiner is a journalist and author whose work has appeared in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Counter, and numerous other publications. Her books include her personal favorite, My Girl: Adventures with a Teen in Training, and the New York Times Notable Book, To Dance with the Devil: The New War on Breast Cancer. Karen’s most recent work focuses on food, family, and women’s quest for a meaningful identity as we age. She taught for ten years at the Columbia University graduate school of journalism and now lives in Santa Monica, California.
