Have you ever seen Dick Van Dyke dance? At 99 years old, this man has still got it, and by it, I mean all of it. He can sing and dance, he is constantly smiling and making others smile, too, and he has a zest for life like no other. Not to mention the fact that he is kind and handsome and, of course, America’s favorite chimney sweep. I don’t typically go for older (or much older) men, but Dick Van Dyke is at the top of my celebrity crush list with honorable mentions going to Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals (have you seen his smile?) and the one and only, Harry Styles.

Celebrity crushes are fun, innocent and pretty much universal. They are also subjective. Let’s just say not everyone gets weak in the knees over a little “Chim Chim Cher-ee” action, so to each their own, Girlfriends.

Keep reading for an inside peek into the celebrity crush hall of fame — as told by everyday women like you and me.

Nerd Vibes, Please: Paul Rudd, 56

“My celebrity crush, whom I call my forever crush, is Paul Rudd. He's funny, timeless, handsome and non-controversial. I think I first fell for him and his character in Clueless. Those dreamy eyes and nerd vibes were everything.” — Rasheda, 45, Michigan

A Dream-like Encounter: The Rock, Dwayne Johnson, 53

“Some women are lucky enough to meet their celebrity crush in a dream. I happened to have met mine when I was in a six-week coma! Lying in a hospital room, my unconscious mind had me believing I met The Rock, my long-term celebrity crush. Unfortunately, we never got to the good part (wink, wink), but I did babysit his kids! And he was made of Legos! All in my coma state, of course. In my waking life, I have a hall pass from my husband if I should ever meet The Rock.” — Tricia, 52, Connecticut

LOL: Jason Bateman, 56

“Mine [used to be] Will Smith because of his personality. But with his huge ego and all of the drama surrounding him recently, he is officially off my list. He has been replaced by Jason Bateman. Why? He is so funny! And [in addition to his] good looks, he seems to genuinely be a nice guy. I think he offers sincerity, honesty and would be so much fun.” — Bitsy, 56, California

The Whole Package: Rob Lowe, 61

“Well, this is a no-brainer. Rob Lowe. Hands down, Rob Lowe. He was, and remains, the coolest guy ever. Not only does he have a fantastic sense of humor, but he’s also super smart. He can poke fun at himself and be self-deprecating. His podcast, Literally!, is one of my favorites and a must-listen for long car rides. And his gorgeousness defies logic. If it's even possible, this man has gotten more beautiful as he's gotten older.” — Alyse, 55, New York

Say a Little Prayer for Me: Mark Wahlberg, 54

“Mark Wahlberg — because of his transparency about his faith, his loyalty to his first and only wife, and his love of family. And he is a great actor. Oh, and he takes good care of his body!” — Anne, 77, Connecticut

A Free Spirit: Lenny Kravitz, 61

“My longest-standing, running celebrity crush for the past 30 years has got to be Lenny Kravitz, whom I first discovered back in college in 1989. Besides loving his music and obviously his undeniably, never-aging face and physique, his creative and uncompromising spirit has just never seemed to wane over all these years.” — Aimee, 56, California

The Guy Next Door: Jon Hamm, 54

“My current and longtime crush is Jon Hamm. He exudes charm, seems approachable and is the handsome man next door. From Mad Men to Your Friends and Neighbors, his repertoire is extensive. He is funny, serious and at times, self-deprecating. Did I say he was handsome? Nice bonus, my husband bears a resemblance to Jon Hamm!” — Julie, 53, Illinois

We may never date (or even meet) our Hollywood heartthrobs, but a little fantasy never hurt anyone, right? Cheers to the men of our dreams, Girlfriends!
