Karen Stabiner is a journalist and author whose work has appeared in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Counter, and numerous other publications. Her books include her personal favorite, My Girl: Adventures with a Teen in Training, and the New York Times Notable Book, To Dance with the Devil: The New War on Breast Cancer. Karen’s most recent work focuses on food, family, and women’s quest for a meaningful identity as we age. She taught for ten years at the Columbia University graduate school of journalism and now lives in Santa Monica, California.
