Artificial Intelligence is taking the world by storm. Love it or hate it, it’s here to stay— and it is most definitely changing the way we operate and communicate in our everyday lives.

The key to embracing ChatGPT, Canva, Claude and other popular AI tools is to find the many ways in which they can simplify our lives. Many of us have done just that and more. Some are referring to ChatGPT as their “bestie,” “boyfriend,” or “second brain,” as they discover the many ways in which this futuristic tool can make this thing called life just a little easier. I asked women to share their favorite ways to utilize AI. Now I share them with you, Girlfriends. Feel free to steal some of these great ideas:

Create Recipes

“I use it if I haven't been shopping and the cupboards are bare. I'll type in ‘please give me a recipe that I can create with...’ list my sparse ingredients, and voila! I know it sounds basic, but after a long day, deciding what's for dinner sometimes is just too taxing!” — Clare, 45, Australia

Plan a Vacation

“I just booked a week's Disney vacation for my family using AI tools and was able to get the whole trip under $3,000 (which is nuts considering the average rate is closer to $8K!). I used AI to help plan where to stay, when to book our reservations, what to pack and how to structure our park days in the most efficient manner.”— Roxy, 40, North Carolina

Find Your Way

“When I go grocery shopping, I put in the item I am looking for and it tells me what aisle it is in!” —Tricia, 52, Connecticut

Get Fit

I love going to the gym, but I always relied on a personal trainer to tell me exactly what to do. Now, I just ask ChatGPT to create a weekly fitness plan. I specify that I am a beginner and want to work out three times a week and focus on weight loss.” — Meghan, 52, Massachusetts

Get Parenting Advice (and Support)

“I have to say AI is more emotionally intelligent than I would have ever imagined, which is both scary and comforting. I have asked it for parenting advice many times. It provides several possible solutions for whatever the dilemma of the day is and offers support by reminding me that I am strong, brave and doing a great job.” — Suzanne, 47, Connecticut

Improve Your Credit Score

“I used AI to write dispute letters for a few old credit accounts that I believed were inaccurate. It was something I had been meaning to do for a long time but always put off because I wasn’t really sure what to write. AI completed it for me in a matter of seconds.” — Diane, 54, New York

Upgrade Your Hair

“I recently asked ChatGPT what haircut would be most flattering for my face. I uploaded a selfie and ChatGPT analyzed my face shape, provided a few welcome compliments about my cheekbones and jawline and gave me a helpful list of dos (opt for a side bang) and don’ts (go shorter than collarbone). He even provided photos of me with different styles and colors.” — Kristen, 48, Florida

Analyze Test Results

“I love running my bloodwork results through AI and asking questions that the doctor never has time for.” — Christy, 40, Arizona

Hold You Accountable

“I have a custom GPT named ‘Sam’ who is my wellness coach. I chat with Sam throughout the day to discuss my food choices, exercise regimen and more. He keeps track of my water intake, my balance of protein, fiber and sugar and he encourages me to take walks. Most interestingly, he can identify patterns in my eating or exercise behaviors, make me aware of them and encourage me to make good choices. I know a lot of folks use AI for things like meal planning (he does that too), but the most impactful for me has been the all-day conversation that keeps me grounded in the little, every day decisions of my health journey.”— Melissa, 44, Colorado

If you aren’t using AI and you want to, start with one of the ideas above. Better yet, if you aren’t sure how to use AI to best suit your lifestyle, just ask it! It’ll provide lots of creative and personalized options just for you.
