Happy Thanksgiving, Girlfriends!

We have a little surprise for you next week. Well, not so little.

Thanksgiving is that time of year when we take a moment to express gratitude for all we have. For those of us on The Girlfriend team, it's also an opportunity to say THANK YOU to all of you — for reading, sharing and, most importantly, helping us shine a light on a topic near and dear to our hearts: girlfriend power.

Female friendships are the nets we fall into when we need help, love or reassurance. Friends reduce stress. They listen and make us feel alive. Ever been handed a tampon by a stranger in a women's restroom? Even this demonstrates the power of female camaraderie.

With that in mind, be sure to check out next week's issue of The Girlfriend in which we'll be giving you a chance to win a break from reality with the bestie you cherish most. Yes, we want to give you a getaway — or, rather, the money so that you can afford a getaway. Consider it just another expression of our gratitude to all of you as the year comes to a close.

Have a wonderful holiday season filled with family and friends. And remember that we'll continue to talk about everything on The Girlfriend. Nothing is off limits.

As always, we hear you and we thank you.

The Girlfriend Team
