Winter is here, and did you know that means there are freebies to be had? We don’t want you to miss out, so we’ve compiled a list to make sure you are ready to save.

Treat yourself in early 2022 with these free products, food and events. There’s definitely something for everyone.

— First off, discover our national and state parks. There are six free entrance days to U.S. National Parks in 2022. Find out more here. Then look into what the state parks where you live are offering. Chances are, there are free entrance days there, too. Washington’s state parks, for example, offer free passes on Jan. 1, New Year’s Day; Jan. 17, Martin Luther King Jr. Day; March 9, the birthday of Billy Frank Jr., who was a Native American environmental leader; April 22, Earth Day; and more.

— You can check out free samples in a variety of categories, including beauty and food, at Freeflys.

— There is a free sandwich from Jimmy John’s in your future after you place your first order through Freaky Fast Rewards.

— If you are an ice cream lover, sign up for the Friendly’s Sweet Rewards Club and you will get a free medium sundae.

— Jan. 15 is National Bagel Day. In the past, places like Panera, Original Brooklyn Water Bagel and Brugger’s Bagels have given away free bagels (some may require a purchase), so make sure to ask at your local bagel places about a freebie.

— National Pi Day falls on March 14, so don’t forget to take advantage of some of the great offerings. 7-Eleven stores will be offering large pizzas for $3.14 (not free, but too good not to mention). You can get a pizza at the store, or by signing up with their app or joining the loyalty program. Blaze Pizza offers the same deal on Pi Day when you download their app.

— To find more free food deals during the colder months you can also explore CouponCabin, an online site that offers coupons for a variety of chains — like Chipotle, Starbucks and Chick-fil-A.

— Free museum days are pervasive. In New York City, for example, many museums offer free entrance on April 9. Chicago also offers free entrance to museums on certain days, and many San Francisco museums offer free admission at least once a month.

— And when’s your birthday? The Girlfriend has a great list of places that have offered freebies to help you celebrate.

— Want to up your cooking game? Hello Fresh is giving away 16 free meals to new customers.

— And there are loads of free downloadable coloring pages that are fun for kids to color! Just go to coloring only.

Stay warm this winter and take advantage of all the free stuff you can get in exchange for an email or signing up for a rewards program. You can’t beat the price.
