On this Thanksgiving, we have a very special giveaway to thank you for being a part of The Girlfriend community. We're giving away 50 free copies of the New York Times bestseller "Lessons In Chemistry." Each will come with a special set of five pencils. (The book's main character always wore a No. 2 pencil behind her ear or in her hair.) If that weren't spectacular enough, five of the 50 winners will ALSO receive a free "Supper At Six" apron in the mail. How fun would it be to win that? Click here to enter for a chance to win.

Just as a reminder, "Lessons in Chemistry" was The Girlfriend Book Club's book pick in August 2022. The author Bonnie Garmus shared her wonderful insights and anecdotes about her debut novel with the group. In case you missed the live interview, you can watch the recorded version here.

And if you didn't know, Apple TV+ will be rolling out a drama series based on "Lessons In Chemistry" in 2023, starring Oscar winner Brie Larson, who also is executive producer.

Set in the early 1960s, "Lessons In Chemistry" follows Elizabeth Zott, whose main passion is to be a scientist but who is instead tossed aside by society into a domestic arena, rather than a professional one. When Elizabeth finds herself pregnant, alone and fired from her lab, she summons the ingenuity only a woman like Elizabeth has. She takes a job as a host on a TV cooking show, and sets out to teach a nation of overlooked housewives — and the men who are suddenly listening — a lot more than recipes … all the while plotting a return to her true love: science.
